As part of the CLIF grant, we had a brilliant visit with storyteller Simon Brooks. He was hosted in the library with a live student audience.
The kids had so much fun with Simon Brooks. The kids connected with him instantly because of his warm and open personality. The presentation was funny and interactive, and he used so many different tools to draw kids into the stories he told.
If you are interested in hearing for yourself, listen to his podcast, Lindyline, an adventure story for young people. Another on-line show Simon produces is Friday with Friends, geared for parents and other grown-ups, where he virtually chats with storytelling and musician friends. This lighthearted on-line event has become a staple for some viewers because of its humor and light atmosphere.
Simon lives in New London, New Hampshire, New England, New World with his wife, two children, a cat, and a dog called Moe.
